{Real Party} Baking Party

This is another of my favorites this year.  It comes from One Charming Party.  First, let me say that I love this blog.  It’s a really well executed blog.  Clean, useful and easy to read.

Okay, now on to this very charming party.  It’s one that you can purchase a 50 page pdf of all of the details for only $6.  What a great value. Here are some of the cute details that make this an awesome Baking Party.  Check out these very cute flower baking hats.  They are so unique and cute. The flowers are amazinlgy adorable and made from coffee filters and cupcake liners. What a great cost effective accent.  Although it seems obvious, using letter stickers to personalize party items hadn’t occurred to me before.  I have already used this fun idea on a party craft.

How sweet is this garland?  It’s another simple, inexpensive detail from this baking party.  Cute, cute, cute!

I love the chocolate covered strawberries activity.  Simple and yummy.  How delicious do these look?

You must take a peek at all of the details of this Baking Party over at One Charming Party!

{Real Party} One Year Old in a Flash

This is one of the most unique party themes I have seen in the last year.  This was created by Stacey over at Elle Belle Creative.  The One Year Old in a Flash theme was inspired as a way to capture the fun time that those little one year olds are.  Time does really fly and a party theme focused on capturing the moment is fantastic!

It’s hard to know where to start wtih this party.  There were so many cute details.

I love treat tables, so let’s start their.  This is a  fun color palette…hot pink and teal.  The cupcake toppers are one of my favorite details.  They are little pictures of the birthday kiddo.  I love the boxes of popcorn surrounding the tall covered dish.   The labels were fun and whimsical and I really love customized water bottle wraps.  They are easy to do and add a lot to a table.  One of my favorite things right now is handmade marshmallows.  These marshmallows are a great addition to the table.

I am really loving fun photo booths for parties.  Stacey did a great job on this one.  She included such fun props.

This post is leaving out a lot of details, so be sure to head over to Elle Belle Creative to get all of them!

{Real Party} Winter Wonderland

4This Winter Wonderland Party was a fun whimsical party for those little party goers.  The great polka dot and striped wrapping paper set the tone for the party.  The lime green, red and pink made for a fun jumping off point.  I have said this a lot, but paper is such a great way to bring a party alive for a very small amount of money.  I used a bunch of the inspiration wrapping paper.  We wrapped all of the art work in the kid dining area with the wrap.

Next we made poppers out of wrapping paper tubes, wrapping paper and a little ribbon.  Inside we stuck some tiny treasures for the little party goers.  What kid doesn’t love to unwrap a present!

I also found some big paper snowflakes that added the snow to our wonderland – hung them from the ceiling, the light fixture and added to artwork .   To layer on more snow a table runner of white fluffy stuff was perfect!

I started the table with a lime green tablecloth and layered on red polka dot 12 x 12 paper as place mats.  Topped with square lime green plates and the poppers.

A silver wire tree was a great start atop the fluffy white table runner.  Centerpieces were simple and cute:  check out the how to.  I also found fun pink, red and white containers in the dollar section at Target that I filled with green foam and crinkle paper and giant red, pink, white lollipops.  What fun can be found at Target in the dollar section!

We had a few fun crafts at the party. Each little one created a personalized ornament. This was super simple and suitable for a wide age of ranges.  We finished the fun off with cookie decorating.  Always a hit with the kiddos!

{DIY} Hot Chocolate on a Stick

I found this post on one of my favorite and local bloggers Shauna Younge.  She has really great inspiration and I am sure to check out what she doing frequently.  This idea came from a Guest Desserts feature Shauna posted that came  from Sheila of Just Wright Candy Buffets.   This is such a yummy idea and the presentation in the photos is outstanding.

I REALLY love this idea and have had a bit of a hot chocolate obsession lately.  This is on my list of MUST try.  Sheila shared the recipe she used for the marshmallow and fudge recipe.

Thanks to Shauna and Sheila for such an inspirational favor!

{DIY} Hot Cocoa Gift & Favor

IMG_0611

Hot Cocoa is a winter classic!  After some serious sledding at our house, there is always hot cocoa!  After seeing hot cocoa gifts in all of the stores, I decided to give it a try.  It’s a simple and fun project that you could even include the kids in.  The fun part is getting creative with your flavors and papers.  For unique flavor options, I started in the baking aisle where you find chocolate chips. There are all kinds of fun options.  I am going to create a variety pack of these cocoa mixes and include them in a number of gifts this holiday season.  These would also make great party favors for fun with parties.

{Real Party} Damask Cocktail Party

 30

This was a really fun party for us.  I partnered up with Carrie’s Creative Creative Cuisine to create this amazingly delicious party. We were inspired by the black & white damask background. I really love the sophistication of that color palette.

The sweet table was definitely a centerpiece for the party.  We combined the black and white with some silver cake plates with great black crystal details.  The food was really stunning.  You can see the truffles, hobo s’mores, whoopie pies and pumpkin cake pops.  I really love whoopie pies and Carrie’s whoopie pies were the best I have ever had!

We included a beverage menu with several featured martinis, wine and bottled beer selections.

The appetizers were almost just as pretty as the treats.  Of course, they were all deliciously amazing.

{Real Party} Santa Sweet Table

2010-12-10

This fun tablescape was inspired by those cute santa boots!  As soon as I saw them, I knew they had to be turned into a fun holiday sweet table!  The goal of the table was to create a fun, whimsical and classic Christmas Sweet Table.  The gift boxes were a perfect complement to the boots in fun patterns.  The boxes came in several different, but coordinating patterns.  The boxes added color and dimension.   They were the perfect sized to top with plates of cookies   The centerpiece of the table was a tower of Creme de Pot shooters.  What a sweet focus!  In front of the shooters, we placed fun cups of one of our family favorites: homemade caramel corn.

We also featured the most amazing little ginger bites, coconut macaroons and white chocolate cranberry bars.  And what holiday table would be complete without wonderful little chocolate truffles.  This was a great mix of yummy holiday treats and fun accents.

{Real Party} Black & White Glamourous Sweets Table

Black & White Glamourous Sweet Table

I am alsways on the search for new blogs to gain inspiration.  Today, I found this amazing sweet table from Celebrations at Home and I haven’t been able to get it out of my head.  The details of this sweet table are really stunning.  The black and silver color palatte was very elegant.  The backdrop for this sweet table was so beautiful – I loved the use of the beaded curtain.

Black & White Glamourous Sweet Table 2

The treats on this table were so unique.  I can never get enough Whoopie Pies, so that always get points with me.  The chocolate cups were adorable.  The detail of the whipped topping and silver glitter on the brownie bites was a fun twist on this classic.  Those milk shots served with chocolate cookie straws – SO CUTE!

{Real Party} Movie Party with Candy & Popcorn Galore

IMG_0564

I recently had the fun opportunity to create a movie themed party for a corporate event.  We started with a candy buffet that was bright and colorful!  The candy selection was fun as I tried to incorporate as many fun classic candies as possible.  I believe we met the goal…the candy menu was extensive:  plain M&Ms, pretzel M&Ms, peanut butter M&Ms, skittles, gourmet jelly beans, gummy bears, licorice, Laffy Taffy, Whoppers, Milky Ways, Almond Joy, peppermint stripes, Hot Tamales,  Reece’s Pieces, Snickers, Peppermint Patties & Twix.  Can you say: SUGAR HIGH?

While candy buffets are always fun and yummy but I thought it would be fun to add a popcorn buffet!  Instead of just serving the good old fashioned buttered popcorn, we mixed it up with 8 fun flavors.  The flavors included:  buttered, caramel, cheese, spicy white cheddar cheese, cotton candy, pina colada, cinnamon crunch, M&M, & Reese’s Pieces.

One of my personal favorite elements of this partywere the oh so cute popcorn cupcakes created by the talented Carrie’s Creative Cusine.  They were cute and very yummy!!
